Hello,

My name is Crystal Alba, and I live in Chattanooga, TN. I’m currently offering portrait, event, and animal photography to Chattanooga and surrounding areas. I've been working as a photographer since 2004. My husband, Mario, is an artist and we live with 3 horses, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.

For several years, I worked at a chimpanzee sanctuary in Blue Ridge, Georgia as a caregiver and photographer. I now advocate for those chimps to get better care at www.HelpTheChimps.org. Wild and captive wild animal photography will always have a special place in my heart. I feel that it’s an excellent way to connect people with animals they might otherwise know nothing about. And connection often inspires action and advocacy.

I also volunteer at local animal shelters, taking adoption photos of the adoptable animals. I try to get happy, bright photos of the dogs to show off their amazing personalities.  Often, we'll even take the dogs to off-site locations, like homes and parks. The shelters I’ve volunteered at at include TLC Humane Society, Humane Society of Northeast Georgia, the Atlanta Humane Society, McKamey Animal Center, and BullsEye Rescue.
